While writing the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, Sarah J. Maas took the time to build out meaningful and complicated arcs that display amazing growth throughout the story creating a structure that gives the upcoming TV adaptation a major advantage over the source material. This is part of the reason this series is so easy to connect with; the characters themselves are so deep and complicated that, regardless of things that happen in the A Court of Thorns and Roses books, they remain intriguing. Maas created an entire universe with her books, building out complex and compelling backstories that make this series so addictive.
