Paramount+ has shared the official Dear Santa trailer for its upcoming holiday comedy, starring Kung Fu Panda’s Jack Black. The film is scheduled to debut on November 25 on Paramount+ and digital platforms.
“When a young boy mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, a devilish Jack Black arrives to wreak havoc on the holidays,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Dear Santa trailer?
In the video, Black takes on the role of Satan, who gives a young boy three wishes for Christmas after mistakenly receiving a letter that was supposed to be addressed to Santa Claus. It highlights the chaos that Black’s character will bring to this young boy’s holiday as he tries his best to corrupt his soul.
Dear Santa is directed by Bobby Farrelly from a screenplay written by Ricky Blitt and Peter Farrelly, based on the writing duo’s story with Dan Ewen. The ensemble cast also includes Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, Post Malone, P.J. Byrne, Jaden Carson Baker, and Kai Cech. It is produced by Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly, and Jeremy Kramer, with Kevin Barnett, Pete Jones, and Gretel Twombly serving as executive producers. The film is a production by Kraymation Films and Paramount Pictures.
Black is best known for starring in a number of hit comedies such as School of Rock, Nacho Libre, The Holiday, the Kung Fu Panda franchise, Tropic Thunder, Goosebumps, and the new Jumanji films. He recently starred in the live-action Borderlands movie, where he voiced the role of Claptrap. He will next be seen in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie with Jason Momoa and Emma Myers.
