While Jenny Humphrey was a major character throughout the majority of Gossip Girl, actress Taylor Momsen made an abrupt exit halfway through season 4. Before landing the role in Gossip Girls cast as Dan Humphreys younger sister, Jenny, Momsen was best known for her childhood acting roles in projects such as How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) and Spy Kids 2 (2002). The success of Gossip Girl launched Momsen into a more mature teen role that departed from her past projects, but she would only remain in the main cast for the shows first four seasons.
