John Wick director Chad Stahelski has given a development update on the status of John Wick 5. The John Wick franchise began in 2014 with Stahelski’s action-revenge movie John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves in the titular role as a former assassin brought out of retirement after his puppy is killed. The movie was an unexpected box office success, grossing $86 million, and spawning three direct sequels, John Wick: Chapter 2, John Wick 3 – Parabellum, and John Wick: Chapter 4. The John Wick franchise has grossed $1 billion collectively, and its success has fueled rumors of John Wick 5.
