Recent allegations about comments made by Donald Trump regarding Hitler’s generals have sparked controversy. As speculation grows, the former President’s representatives have firmly rejected the claims. Now, many people want to know what Donald Trump supposedly said about Hitler’s generals.

Here is everything to know about it.

What did Donald Trump reportedly say about Hitler’s generals?

Donald Trump reportedly praised Adolf Hitler’s generals during a private conversation at the White House. According to sources, he said, “I need the kind of generals that Hitler had.” The former President further added, “People who were totally loyal to him, that follow orders,” as per The Atlantic.

Notably, Trump has previously clashed with military officials, and at times, he has also criticized veterans. Former officials reportedly stated that Trump valued loyalty above all, and as his presidency came to an end in 2020, he increasingly wanted a military that would follow his commands without question.

Donald Trump campaign says comments are ‘absolutely false’

Trump’s campaign has swiftly denied the claims, with spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer telling The Independent, “This is absolutely false, President Trump never said this.” Pfeiffer emphasized Trump’s long-standing support for the U.S. military, both during his presidency and as a private citizen.

In response to recent accusations, Pfeiffer highlighted Trump’s record of protecting troops, securing their largest pay raise in around 10 years, and implementing significant VA reforms. He said:

“President Donald Trump has spent his life caring for America’s military heroes. As President, he kept our troops out of harm’s way, secured the largest pay raise for our troops in a decade, and signed historic VA reforms. As a private citizen, he has financially supported veterans and has forcefully advocated for the Kabul Gold Star families. There has been no greater advocate for our brave military men and women than Donald J. Trump.”

Despite these denials, Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly shared a different perspective and said he “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist” in a recent interview. (via The New York Times)
