Before Back To The Future, there was the sitcom Family Ties, in which Michael J. Fox starred as a conservative teen Alex P. Keaton. Fox would go on to be massively famous for playing Alex’s time-traveling counterpart Marty McFly, prompting a debate over which role is more iconic. In Back to the Future, Fox stars alongside Christopher Lloyd as well as Crispin Glover, the latter of whom plays George McFly, before Glover’s recast in Back To The Future 2.
