An apparent supporter of Donald Trump mocked Taylor Swift prior to her performance on Saturday, October 19, by conducting a flypast over the Hard Rock Stadium.
The flypast included a sneering message that read, “Trump 2024 – Ready For It, Cat Lady? MAGA!” as per the New York Post. The incident took place sometime before Swift made an appearance on the stage for her second Eras Tour concert in Miami.
Fans have speculated that the prank could have to do with the singer’s known preference for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming U.S. elections. Taylor Swift had declared her support for Harris in an earlier public statement, which seemingly hit the wrong nerve of certain Donald Trump supporters. Swift also ended her announcement with a supposed dig at Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, by signing it off with “Childless Cat Lady.” The comment was in reference to Vance’s 2021 statements on Democratic women, where he labeled the faction as “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.”
As such, the Donald Trump supporter organized a flying banner before Taylor Swift’s Saturday concert in Miami to taunt her. The message referenced her 2017 single, …Ready for It? while also ridiculing her cat-related comment on Vance. Despite the disruption, the 14-time Grammy winner is expected to continue with her concert schedule as per usual.
