Hilarie Burton didnt start out in the entertainment industry as an actor. Instead, she got her start on MTV as a VJ, or video jockey, a play on radion DJs for the network. Burton was known for being an MTV correspondent at special events, talking to the Real World cast members, and appearing on music countdown shows. That changed when she got her big break thanks to One Tree Hill in 2003.
