Jason Statham has been in five Fast and Furious movies already, but the best possible Shaw spinoff has yet to happen. After going after Dominic Toretto and his family in Furious 7 to avenge what was done to his brother in the previous film, Deckard Shaw returned as an ally in The Fate of the Furious. Shaw joined Dwayne Johnsons Luke Hobbs as another Fast and Furious villain who was redeemed and got to join the family, although accepting Stathams character as one of the good guys was not easy given that he had presumably killed Han.
