The romance of Blue Box is certainly the central draw of the series, yet it’s endearingly intertwined with the experiences of its high school athletes and their journeys of self-improvement. Taiki Inomata has taken major strides toward asserting himself as an up-and-coming badminton player to even be recognized by his seniors, but not without some lighthearted mockery and minor setbacks. But in Blue Box episode #4, as Chinatsu Kano continues to get closer to Taiki, the two figure out their dynamic while each prepare to aspire toward the nationals.
