After three seasons of romantic tension, Janine and Gregory are finally together in Abbott Elementary in season 4, and concerns about how long their bliss will last are squashed by episode 2. Every good sitcom needs a will-they/won’t-they relationship. For The Office, it was Jim and Pam; for Friends, it was Ross and Rachel; and during the Abbott Elementary premiere, it was clear that Janine and Gregory would be the ABC mockumentary sitcom’s slow-burn romance. While waiting for them to give in to their feelings was torture, it was worth it, given how Janine and Gregory’s story is playing out in season 4.
