The long-awaited Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will officially confirm Shadow the Hedgehog’s origin story – which could’ve been much different, if not for one decision concerning Jim Carrey. Ever since the initial Sonic the Hedgehog movie in 2020, Carrey has been instrumental in creating the Sonic cinematic universe. Despite the uncertainty that circulated around Carrey’s reprisal for the third installment, Paramount confirmed Carrey’s return for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which happened to be great news for Shadow’s story.
