A sequel to Brad Pitt’s $540 million zombie movie, World War Z, could have allowed its director to redeem one of the most infamous sci-fi movies of all time. The ending of World War Z underwent several changes during production, yet a sequel was always a possibility for the film. As it was released theatrically, the ending of the film saw Pitt’s Garry Lane uncover the idea that injecting humans with curable pathogens makes them invisible to the zombies. This actively teased a sequel to World War Z in which the military can more easily face the zombie horde.
