Superman & Lois season 4, episode 3 provided a truly heartbreaking death for one key DC character – but pulled it off in the most fitting way for their legacy. As the latest in a considerable line of live-action Superman shows, Superman & Lois has had a lot to live up to in terms of legacy, both in terms of its on-screen predecessors, and the comics that inspired their creation. With this backdrop, it does feel truly fitting the final season of the series adapts The Death of Superman, given the truly iconic nature of the comic story and its relatively limited number of on-screen renditions.
