A hypothetical Supernatural season 16 would arguably need to drop The Winchesters Akrida as a villain if the show wants to fix the ending because they were too underwhelming. Running for 15 seasons, the record-breaking hit show Supernatural ended in 2020 with a dramatic conclusion that divided fans for various reasons. Shortly after the shows ending, Jensen Ackles (who played Dean Winchester) announced a Supernatural TV show spinoff called The Winchesters which would offer a prequel story. However, the shows premise was derailed with Dean Winchesters surprise return and The Winchesters was officially established as an alternate universe to Supernatural.
