Netflix’s true-crime documentary, Jailbreak: Love on the Run, has divided opinion, particularly concerning the love affair between long-time violent felon Casey White and Vicky White (surnames entirely co-incidental), the Assistant Director of the Fort Lauderdale County Jail from which the pair fled in April 2022. Jailbreak: Love on the Run’s true story examines the origins of White’s relationship, and traces its development through the eyes of Vicky White’s former colleagues, friends, and the felons who were under her supervision.
