Rumours‘ cast includes several global actors of renown, bringing gravitas to a largely silly film. Directed by Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, and Galen Johnson, Rumours focuses on a particularly eventful G7 summit. Meeting in the German countryside, seven of the world’s leaders find themselves bickering and scrambling when a mysterious fog rolls in and separates them from seemingly all other life in the area. The film only gets more bizarre from there, with the film’s primary cast carrying both consistently comedic beats and surprising dramatic weight in the movie.
