Jack Damon’s firing on Chicago Fire opened the door for season 13 to replace Blake Gallo with a beloved character. Damon joined the series after Derrick Gibson unexpectedly left and has been nothing but trouble since. He only lasted as long as he did because of the relationship between Damon and Chicago Fire‘s Severide, which caused Stella to be reluctant to document his unwillingness to follow her directions out of loyalty to her husband. However, after Damon’s ignoring her orders made a rescue on a speedboat more difficult, Stella could no longer stay silent.
