For audiences who still miss Castlevania, Netflix seems to have the perfect replacement show. Based on Konami’s video game series of the same name, Castlevania was initially going to be adapted as a movie. However, when the movie project struggled to come out of the depths of development hell, Netflix picked it up to adapt it as a TV show. While most video game TV adaptations struggle to impress viewers, Castlevania defied the norm and proved both commercially and critically successful after season 1.
