The Far Side featured a number of hilarious subversions of zoos and museums, taking the idea of these locations and twisting them, turning them into outrageous parodies of their recognizable forms. Both as settings, and punchlines themselves, museums and zoos provided fertile ground for Gary Larson’s idiosyncratic brand of comedy.
