Though it was originally believed that season 6 would end the series, the popularity of The Connersis enough to spur the sitcom on for a season 7. Debuting in 2018 as a spinoff of the classic sitcom Roseanne, The Conners follows the titular family as they try to make their way through the usual trials and tribulations of an average working-class family. Despite the firing of original franchise star Roseanne Barr, The Conners managed to find its own tone while still being true to the themes and ideas of the classic series from the ’80s and ’90s.
