New Stranger Things season 5 behind-the-scenes photos have been released, teasing a potential flashback to season 1. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the hit Netflix series returned for season 4 in 2022, ending with Hawkins becoming ground zero for an Upside Down incursion into the real world. Stranger Things season 5, which is still filming after entering production earlier this year, is set to pick up after a time jump, but behind-the-scenes photos from several months ago suggested that the show could also be flashing back to young Will’s time in the Upside Down.
