The just-released A24 movie tells the story of Sister Paxton and Sister Barnes, two young Mormon missionaries with hopes of getting new converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One particular candidate for conversion, Mr. Reed, proves especially challenging, and the young women see their faith and will to live tested as they fight for survival. Heretic features a leading cast including East, Sophie Thatcher, Hugh Grant, and Topher Grace.
