At first glance, Paddington in Peru seems to be getting outstanding reviews, with a current score of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, when compared to the first two Paddington films, it’s clear that reviews for Paddington in Peru are actually much more divided. 2014’s Paddington and 2017’s Paddington 2, in comparison, have Rotten Tomatoes scores of 97% and 99%, respectively. Since Paddington in Peru is still scoring in the 90s, there shouldn’t be cause for concern, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that some reviews for the third Paddington story are much more negative than its predecessors.
