Jessica ‘Jess Hilarious‘ Moore is a comedian and actress who has been the subject of multiple controversies throughout her career. Now, rumors are circulating that she has been fired as the co-host of the syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club.
Here is everything we have learned about whether Jess Hilarious was fired.
Did Jess Hilarious get fired from The Breakfast Club?
No, Jess Hilarious was not fired as the host of The Breakfast Club. Rumors about her firing have been circulating since early 2024 when she hadn’t even joined the radio show’s panel. DJ Envy, one of the show’s hosts, dispelled the rumors.
“I think one of the funniest theories was when we got back from vacation… they said [Jess] worked one day and got fired that day,” Envy said in an interview with Page Six.
The disc jockey elaborated, “Mind you she did not work at all. She hasn’t been to the city and won’t be until Feb. 5. We are hearing a lot of fake news, and these hating comments.”
Envy also revealed that he, Jess Hilarious, and the third host, Charlamagne Tha God, were in the middle of a photo shoot to promote the new line-up when rumors about the comedian’s sacking began to appear online. Jess Hilarious debuted on The Breakfast Club on February 5, 2024.
These rumors seem to have resurfaced recently because of the comedian’s absence from the show. But as Envy says at the start of this episode, Jess Hilarious is currently on maternity leave. She and her boyfriend, Chris, recently welcomed a daughter. She also has a son named Ashton from a previous relationship.
Notably, Jess garnered controversy after making disparaging remarks about Chadwick Boseman in a 2020 Jess with the Mess post on social media. It was later revealed that Boseman had been diagnosed with colon cancer. He passed away on August 28, 2020. Since then, Jess Hilarious has expressed her regrets about her comments.
