Chauncy Glover passes away at 39, claims report
Chauncy Glover’s death was confirmed by his family in a statement. “We, Sherry and Robert Glover, along with Chauncy’s beloved family, are devastated by the unimaginable loss of our beloved Chauncy,” the statement read. “He was more than a son and brother – he was a beacon of light in our lives and a true hero to his community” (via CBS News).
They further lauded The Chauncy Glover Project, which was focused on mentoring the younger male demographic. The statement further read, “His talent, warmth, and vision left an imprint on everyone who knew him, and the world is dimmer without him.”
Glover partnered with Pat Harvey and Suzie Suh while working at KCAL News. He recently completed a year with the media house. Commemorating this feat on Instagram, Glover shared a post, writing, “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going! My first year in #LA on #kcalnews #cbsla in the books! God is good!”
Before being an anchor for KCAL, the anchor had worked with ABC13 for almost 8 years. In addition, he’s also worked at WDIV in Detroit, Michigan, CBS 47 and Fox 30 in Jacksonville, Florida, and WTVM in Columbus, Georgia.
