Transformers One has been reimagined in ’80s VHS art with a nostalgic style reminiscent of G1, showing off a different interpretation of the prequel. Out of all the movies in the Transformers franchise, Transformers One is the first animated feature to be theatrically released since 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie. The film is reminiscent of the first generation on Autobots and Decepticons, taking place entirely on Cybertron and delving into how Optimus Prime (Chris Hemsworth) and Megatron (Brian Tyree Henry) became enemies. It was also a critical success, partially for referring back to older generations of the series.
