2024 has been a tumultuous year at the box office. The year kicked off with a series of disappointments, including the underperforming action film Agrylle, among others. Things partially shifted with the release of the critically-acclaimed Dune: Part Two, which made over $714 million at the global box office. Still, even highly-anticipated titles such as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga faltered this spring, not bringing the same momentum to the box office that early predictions would indicate.
