The video game franchise, which spans six main installments since 1987 and is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, was previously adapted into the 1994 film featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Ral Juli and 2009’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li starring Kristin Kreuk. In April 2023, it was announced that Legendary was developing a new Street Fighter movie, though it has yet to cast its lead roles.
