The Black Phone 2 gets a new production update and behind-the-scenes image from director Scott Derrickson. Released in 2021, The Black Phone follows a young boy as he gets kidnapped and subsequently starts talking on a disconnected phone to his kidnapper’s previous victims. The film, which features Ethan Hawke as disturbing villain The Grabber, was a box office hit, and The Black Phone 2 was subsequently confirmed to be in development with a release date set for October 17, 2025.
