As a not-quite-open-world RPG, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is told entirely through quests. Its story is made up of a series of (mostly) linear quests that take players to various corners of the Dragon Age map. In between, players can spend time getting to know their traveling companions in a series of companion quests, or simply helping locals and factions with shorter, less earth-shattering side quests. Very little the player does will not involve questing in some way, shape, or form, so understanding which quests are available is vital to getting the full Veilguard experience.
