After spending the first several years of his TV arc in Boston, rubbing elbows with Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin at Sam Malone’s underground bar in Cheers, Kelsey Grammer’s snooty therapist decided to return home to the Pacific Northwest. Off-screen, awarding Frasier Crane his own spinoff was risky back then despite the success of its parent series. In the new revival, Frasier spent the first 10 episodes back in Boston reconnecting with his grown-up son, Freddy.
