Frasier Season 2 Officially Ends The Original Series 20 Years After It Went Off The Air

Warning! Spoiler ahead for Frasier season 2, episode 8, “Thank You, Dr. Crane.”The Frasier reboot season 2 brings Frasier Crane back home to Seattle, and in the process, it wraps up the original series 20 years after it ended its run. While Cheers capped off its 11-year run on NBC in 1993, the network found a way to continue capitalizing on the success of the Boston-set sitcom. Admittedly, giving Kelsey Grammer’s standout but still supporting character his own show was risky, considering the failure of Rhea Pearlman’s The Tortellis. That said, the original Frasier only took 1 episode to prove its quality, which it maintained throughout its run.
