Ted Lasso star Juno Temple discusses being rejected for the starring role in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Mia Wasikowska played Alice in the 2010 live-action Disney remake and reprised the role in the 2016 sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. While Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass are generally not considered to be Tim Burton’s best movies, Alice in Wonderland earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, and both projects would have been major opportunities for Temple earlier in her career.
