A new version of Blade is set to debut in Marvel Animation’s upcoming Marvel Zombies series, proving Wesley Snipes’ Blade from Deadpool & Wolverine very wrong. Before Mahershala Ali is introduced as the new Eric Brooks, a.k.a. Blade, in the MCU, Wesley Snipes reprised the role from the Blade trilogy, which ran between 1998 and 2004. Snipes returned in Deadpool & Wolverine alongside the likes of Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Dafne Keen’s Laura and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, each paying respect to, and making jokes about, their previous stints in their respective superhero movies.
