Although Gilmore Girls had plenty of storylines that earned the ire of its fans, it is strange that two of these subplots told almost the same story at around the same time. Gilmore Girls cast of characters were never the best communicators. Ironically, considering how well-read and sometimes absurdly verbose both Lorelai and Rory could be, both generations of Gilmore women often ran into misunderstandings and miscommunications. Some of these were merely comedic asides, but some ballooned into full-blown conflicts. In particular, Deans Gilmore Girls role was often beset by the many misunderstandings between himself and Rory.
