Since marrying polygamist patriarch, Kody Brown, Sister Wives star Robyn Brown has struggled to get along with some of his now adult children. The series, which premiered in 2010, was supposed to present the image of a functional polygamous family, to counteract the popular images of creepy cults filled with old men marrying powerless young girls. In contrast, the Browns seemed happy, wholesome, and truly in love with one another, despite the chaos of a big family. The show ended up being about the dissolution of the Brown family.
