Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the Piece by Piece Blu-ray, DVD, and digital release dates for Focus Features’ latest biographical comedy movie, which retells the life of Grammy-winning musician Pharrell Williams through Lego animation. This comes after over two weeks since the film made its theatrical debut.
“The movie is an unparalleled motion picture experience that invites audiences on a vibrant journey through the life of cultural icon Pharrell Williams. Told through the lens of LEGO® animation, turn up the volume on your imagination and witness the evolution of one of music’s most innovative minds,” reads the synopsis.
When is the Piece by Piece Blu-ray, DVD, and digital release dates?
Piece by Piece will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting tomorrow, October 29. This will then be followed by its Blu-ray and DVD release on December 17, 2024. The home video release will also include an exclusive bonus video, featuring Williams and director Morgan Neville discussing how Pharrell’s life story unfolded into this unique, heartfelt film.
The film is directed by Neville from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Zeldes, Aaron Wickenden, and Oscar Vazquez. Besides Williams, the ensemble cast also includes Neville, Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliott, Tyler the Creator, Daft Punk, Teddy Riley, and more as they appear in LEGO form. Since its debut, the film has garnered positive reviews and is currently Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a Tomatometer rating of 84%.
