Max’s hilarious and heartfelt comedy about comedy, Hacks, returned for season 3 in May 2024, and the insightful series has been renewed for a fourth season. Debuting in 2021, the show follows aging comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) who hires recently canceled comedy writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) to help spice up her tired act. While trying to reinvent Deborah’s comedy career, the duo also figure out their various personal issues together while navigating the world of comedy.
