Netflixs Wednesday has the perfect way to reference the original Addams Family series from the 60s, and the Jenna Ortega show has to use it in a future season. The Addams Family originated as a series of New Yorker comics by Charles Addams, but the characters in these comics were never given personalities or backstories or even names. It wasnt until they were adapted into a half-hour series on ABC in 1964 that they were rounded out into the characters that fans know and love today.
