Whether Sherlock season 5 will happen is difficult to say, but Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman returning for at least one more season is what the show needs after a disappointing ending. Any updates on Sherlock season 5 must be received with caution since Arthur Conan O’Doyle’s modern adaptation has yet to see any official announcement regarding a new season or special. While some are relieved that BBC’s Sherlock might never be revived, assuming that season 5 will go ahead in the future, Sherlock deserves one final ‘hurrah’ after the disappointing ending that was season 4.
