The upcoming Star Wars: New Jedi Order movie, which features Daisy Ridley’s return as Rey, has lost Peaky Blinders screenwriter Steven Knight. Announced at last year’s Star Wars Celebration, Rey’s imminent return delighted fans of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The movie will be helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, whose pitch caught Lucasfilm’s attention and won Ridley over as well; Peaky Blinders screenwriter Steven Knight was hired to pen the script.
