Supernatural horror movie Smile 2 is making its mark at the global box office, as it registers an important milestone. Written and directed by Parker Finn, it’s a sequel to his successful 2022 movie Smile adapted from his short film Laura Hasn’t Slept which grossed over $217 million against a budget of just $17 million. Smile 2 has an ensemble cast, starring Naomi Scott as pop star Skye Riley, who experiences increasingly disturbing supernatural events as she prepares to go on tour. The sequel debuted with a strong $23 million domestic box office in its opening weekend.
